Does staging really work? Staging statistics in South Africa

That's a question I'm often asked. Up till today, I could only point to the US statistics. But today I sat down and did the stats on the properties I've staged in the two years I've been in business.

The pie chart below shows that YES, staging does work. Of the 22 properties I staged, 85% sold in the first month. What real estate agent, homeowner or developer wouldn't want that?

So what's the trick?

It's obvious. Stage BEFORE you list. The first few days of a property hitting the market are crucial. That's when people online notice it (or not). That's when people enquire, or not, and come to show days, or not.

It's an investment every homeowner should make, and one every estate agent should encourage if you want to get your best price (and commission).
